More and more people are booking clinic packages in Istanbul: modern planning, fairer prices and often extensive service — but you should take a close look.
Why Turkey is on the radar
In recent years I've noticed it more often: friends, colleagues, even the neighbor — many now talk openly about hair loss and consider a transplant. For many, the choice falls on clinics in Istanbul. No wonder: short flights (from Palma about three hours), packages with transfers and hotels, and prices that are significantly lower than in Germany are strong arguments.
What is behind the so‑called Vita technique?
The Vita technique is not a magic trick but rather a planning and implementation approach: before the procedure, it is digitally calculated how many transplants (grafts) make sense, which areas are particularly important and how the new hairline will look. Many clinics show on a screen how the result could look. That can be reassuring — or sobering, depending on how honest the representation is.
Advantages often mentioned: individual planning, more efficient use of donor hair and a target image before the operation. Sounds good. In practice this means: fewer surprises after the procedure and a more precise distribution of the grafts.
Cost question: What can you expect?
The simple answer: it depends. Key factors are the number of grafts needed, the chosen method, the experience of the team and what is included in the package. While clinics in Germany can often calculate comparable procedures in the five- to six-figure range, many offers from Istanbul are usually between €2,000 and €4,000 — often including transfer, hotel and accompaniment. That's a big difference, but you shouldn't look at price alone.
Quality, safety and aftercare
It is important to pay attention to certificates, testimonials and real before-and-after photos. Good clinics document carefully, explain risks and offer aftercare — from the first wash to later check-ups. And: ask questions until you are satisfied. Those who do so usually feel more secure afterwards.
A personal tip: Allow enough time. Two to four days on site are often enough for the operation and the first check-up, but longer won't hurt. And don't rely solely on reviews: a short phone call with the care team often quickly makes clear whether the chemistry is right.
Conclusion
The combination of modern planning (such as the Vita technique), inexpensive all-inclusive packages and a large number of experienced teams makes Turkey an attractive option for many. Nevertheless: don't look only at the price, but at qualifications, transparent processes and aftercare. Those who pay attention to this increase the chances of a natural result — and a little more self-confidence.
