While rain and wind rule in Germany, Mallorca's late-summer chapter isn't over yet. Here is the forecast, temperatures, and tips for the week.
Late Summer Persists on Mallorca
While friends at home talk about umbrellas and rubber boots, Mallorca adds another pleasant stretch of late summer. In the mornings a fine warmth lingers in the air, in the afternoons the sun shines so that you can guilt-free add another beach day.
How warm is it right now?
In Palma the days are around 30°C, at the harbor you feel the sea on your skin, but the heat remains tolerable. On Passeig del Born you’ll already meet the first cafe-goers with a newspaper at 9:15 a.m., taking it easy. A little further inland, Inca reports peak values around 33°C, while Llucmajor and Campos are about 31°C.
The nights? Not cold, but not oppressively tropical either: At Palma-Portopí the latest reading was about 25°C, Capdepera around 24°C. On Cabrera the thermometers showed 23°C, in Sóller and Santanyí around 22°C – perfect for a small evening stroll.
Weather trend for the week
The state service Aemet initially forecasts little rain. Until midweek it stays largely sunny, with occasional harmless cloud bands passing through. A marked weather shift is not in sight; daily values typically hover around the 30°C mark.
Water temperatures and activities
For everyone who still wants to go into the sea: Off the coast of Pollença water temperatures measured around 27°C. So yes, pack your swimwear. If you prefer hiking, it’s best to start early on the GR-221 or the serpentine road toward Puig de Randa – cool air in the morning, sun in the afternoon.
Tip: At 5 p.m. the light at Cala Major is often particularly beautiful, and the cafés along the Paseo Marítimo fill with people who want to wind down the day. Pack a light jacket for the evenings, especially for coastal towns where a gentle breeze blows through.
A quick look north: Germany
Yes, on the mainland it looks different: rain and more stormy conditions shape the scene there. For everyone who is calling to extend their vacation – Mallorca is currently sending a clear yes to the sun.
Conclusion: No midsummer extremes, but perfect conditions for excursions, beach days, and one more bite of outdoors. I met a boat rental operator at Portixol this morning – he said: "The week will be quiet, people will rather stay outside." Sounds like a plan.
