Port d'Andratx: Light drizzle and mild warmth on Sunday

A calm, wet Sunday on the West Coast

This afternoon Port d'Andratx looked different from last week: not the glittering sun, but an overcast sky and a fine, steady drizzle. Those strolling the harbor heard the gentle patter of raindrops on the rubber mats of the fishing boats and the scent of wet stone — almost cozy, if you have a warm sweater with you.

Temperatures: pleasant, not hot

The temperatures today range from about 21 °C at night to around 25 °C in the afternoon. In the morning it felt around 9:00 a.m. like about 22 °C, by midday the values were a little over 22 °C. In the evening it cools slightly again, not a cold shock, more of a gentle fade.

How the weather feels

The high humidity makes things a bit muggy, so the air sometimes feels a little warmer than the thermometer shows. Over the course of the day the perceived temperature sits around 22–23 °C — still comfortable for a stroll with a take-away coffee.

Air pressure, humidity and wind

The air pressure hovers around 1014 hPa, humidity around 80 %. From the north there is a steady breeze of about 7.7 m/s, occasionally stronger gusts; that means: light spray on the quay walls and sails that clatter softly. For sailors and small boats caution is advised, the sea can be rough in places.

Chance of rain and outlook

The forecast shows a very high probability of rain, practically certain — but it's more drizzle than a downpour. In short: no big storm events, but a day to stay indoors with a view of the water or for a short, refreshing walk in a raincoat. In the coming days we expect more breaks and a slow decrease in humidity.

A tip from me: The small cafés on Passeig open longer today, the owners dry coffee cups and tell anecdotes from late summer. So, pack the umbrella, shoes that can handle puddles, and one more quick detour to the harbor — there’s something calming about how the weather here on the island slows things down.
