Palma on September 14: Clouds, warmth and a gentle breeze

A mostly dry, lightly cloudy day in Palma with up to nearly 30°C — ideal for a final beach stroll or a coffee in the shade.

Mixed weather in Palma – warm, but not oppressive

Today, on September 14, Palma shows its light, late-summer side: cloud bands drift over the city, the sun breaks through from time to time, and the temperatures climb to almost 30 °C. I was at Passeig del Born at 9 a.m., the cafés were filling up, and people tended to shrug off light jackets more out of curiosity than necessity.

Temperatures during the day

The morning starts with a comfortable around 22.2 °C. By midday we expect peaks around 29.1 °C. In the afternoon it eases slightly to about 26.7 °C, and at night it stays mild at roughly 24.7 °C. In short: no cold shock, but not exactly a light autumn day either.

How it feels

The perceived temperature in the morning is about 22.7 °C, at midday you feel the warmth more like 30.3 °C – those outdoors for longer will notice. In the afternoon it cools a little again to a felt 28.2 °C, at night the thermometer hovers around 25.2 °C. So: don\'t forget a water bottle if you\'re out and about.

Air, wind and probability of precipitation

Air pressure is around 1020 hPa, humidity about 54 %. A moderate northeasterly wind from about 60° blows at around 4.2 m/s, gusts can reach up to 6 m/s. Cloud cover is around 56 %, but the probability of rain remains practically at 0 %.

For walkers at the harbor or cyclists at the beach, almost the only thing missing is sunscreen—and perhaps a small umbrella in case the sun breaks through more strongly.

Practical tips for the day

If you\'re planning to be outdoors today: light clothing, sun protection and a light jacket for the evening are enough. Those spending the afternoon by the sea will still find plenty of water and wind to stay fresh. In the city, terraces are well attended until early evening, so better arrive a bit earlier if you want a shady spot.

All in all: a typical Mallorca day transitioning into autumn. Pleasant, a bit moody—but friendly. Enjoy it.
