Port d'Andratx is cloudy but largely dry today. We summarize the key measurements and tips for the evening.
Clouds set the pace – but rain stays away
In the evening of September 7, Port d'Andratx presents itself in a gray, but good-humored outfit. The sky is almost continuously overcast; the sun hardly peeks through. Still: it remains dry. Anyone strolling along the harbor (around 6:30 p.m. I saw a fisherman in a yellow jacket sorting his nets) does not need an umbrella today, perhaps just a light jacket for later.
Temperatures during the day
The measurements speak a simple language: in the morning temperatures were around 24.6 °C, during the day the thermometer rose to about 26.7 °C, and as the day's high just under 28.0 °C was recorded. At night it cools only slightly — with values near 26.1 °C.
How the air feels
Humidity makes the difference: the humidity lies at about 69 %, which makes the warmth feel somewhat oppressive. The perceived temperatures are therefore higher than the official numbers; in the afternoon it felt locally up to ca. 29 °C — especially in wind-protected spots along the promenade.
Pressure, wind and clouds
The air pressure is roughly 1016 hPa. The wind comes from east-southeast (around 109°) with an average speed of about 5.8 m/s and gusts up to 7.6 m/s. The cloud cover is dense – about 97 % is covered.
For boating trips this means: not a bad day, but on open sea you should watch out for gusts and limited visibility. At the yacht harbor, toward the evening several crews were seen quickly pulling in lines.
Outlook
In the short term the situation remains stable and dry. Meteorologists expect, however, a change in the coming days — if you have plans for excursions or beach days, you should keep an eye on the current forecasts starting Tuesday.
Our tip: In the evening a thin sweater will suffice today; during the day it is warm, but not sun-hot. And if you see an old captain with a thermos at the quay: ask him for the best place to watch the sunset, he usually knows it.
