Almost 30 Degrees This Weekend: Beach Weather in Mallorca—with Brief Showers

Saturday brings more late-summer temperatures and beach days, while Friday and Sunday may bring scattered showers. The new week will be cooler.

Short Late Summer: Saturday Will Be the Best Day

If you still want to plan a few last hours at the beach, mark Saturday on your calendar. After a cool morning breeze, a sunny day awaits for large parts of the island; temperatures locally climb to just under 30°C – especially inland and on flatter southern exposures. I myself saw locals on Passeig de Palma the night before unpacking sunscreen and laughing as they rearranged their beach towels.

Friday: Patches of Rain in the Morning, Sun in the Afternoon

The holiday in Germany gives us a mixed picture. On Friday morning isolated showers are possible in Palma, Campos and Llucmajor; locally it may be briefly overcast. Later in the day the sky opens up in many places and temperatures reach up to 27°C. If you are out in the morning: a small umbrella or a light rain jacket can't hurt, cafés here often open around 08:00 – perfect for an espresso after a brief shower.

Sunday: Clouds Move Back In

Sunday brings a slight cooling. More clouds, more tendency for showers, and the highs are only between 22 and 25°C. This is not a storm or severe weather level, but a typical autumn transition day: brief showers, perhaps a thunderstorm in the distance, then clear skies again and the sound of wet on the promenade.

Look at the Coming Week

According to Aemet, the mood in the first days of the week remains somewhat cooler, especially Monday feels autumnal. From Tuesday, however, a more stable, sunnier phase is expected again, with temperatures up to about 27°C – not summer, but pleasant for walks by the sea or a bike ride along the coast.

Tip for beachgoers: The seawater temperature is still significantly milder than in midsummer. If you go swimming early in the morning, bring a light jacket for after the swim – the evening air can be surprisingly cool.

All in all: more sunny days, but don't forget the rain option. I heard at the harbor, at a bar: 'Saturday will be the real summer send-off' – and those who want to, should take advantage of it.
