The German chain L'Osteria has opened its first branch in Spain in Marratxí. Families, curious visitors, and well-known faces attended the opening despite the rain.

Late Tuesday evening, people gathered under large umbrellas in front of the new restaurant next to the Mallorca Fashion Outlet in Marratxí. Heavy rain, wind and the typical September light — yet inside it smelled of freshly baked pizza and garlic. The concept remains faithful to the German model: giant pizzas, wide pasta plates, salads and sweet desserts, accompanied by beer and wine. Restaurant manager Marvin Pauls said the place is designed to be family-friendly — indoor and outdoor areas in boho look, plus a small playground so parents can eat in peace. Currently around 30 people work here, many of them from the region.

Openings are listed from 11:30 a.m., Tuesday is a closed day. On normal days the doors usually close from Wednesday through Monday around 11 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays until midnight. Table reservations and the menu are available online; staff explained that spontaneous guests often have luck too.
